“Volition” and “Fear Of The Dark” to appear in anthologies.

I’ve just received word that United Press want to feature my poem “Volition” in their upcoming poetry anthology ‘Poetry For All’.

“Volition” is a short poem which addresses the stigma of being ‘confined to a wheelchair’ and will also feature in my upcoming collection entitled ‘Reflections’.

This follows shortly after confirmation that Forward Poetry will be featuring my poem “Fear Of The Dark” in their new anthology ‘Light Up The Dark – A Collection Of Poetry’.

“Fear Of The Dark” was included in my first book ‘Meanderings Of A Young Mind’, the Kindle and paperback editions of which are currently available globally through Amazon.

Veiled

This poem will feature in a future book of poetry entitled “Reflections”.

Veiled

A veil has dropped

In front of me

What’s going on

I cannot see?

Stranger’s come

And strangers go,

Strangers

That I used to know.

Does Aspirin Fight Anger?

The Daily Telegraph recently ran an article entitled “Keep calm and carry an aspirin to beat your temper.”

The headline – strangely enough – came from a study that did not look at aspirin or at people who have a “quick temper”.
In fact, the study investigated whether people with a condition called “intermittent explosive disorder” (IED) had higher levels of two proteins that indicate inflammation.  Continue reading
